FIlter by Anything
Our new Friends' Feed lets you see what you want to see. You can show your activity, friend activity, or contacts activity.
To clarify:
"My Activity" means everything you're doing
"Friend Activity" means you'll see the activity from the people that you have added as your friend, and they have accepted your friend request.
"Contacts Activity" means that if you've synced your contacts with Offline, any active members we find you know will show up in the feed, too. No two way friend request needed.
The reason people would Friend someone on Offline is if they wanted to have the ability to invite them to choose the same Offers. So, if you go out to eat with someone a lot, they should be a Friend on Offline. If not, you can probably leave them and see their stuff in the Contacts Activity Feed and check out what they're loving.
Feed Privacy
We get it, not everyone wants to blast out all of their activity. We've built a filter on the profile page that will help you with this. To hide your activity from other people on Offline, go to Profile -> Permissions & Privacy. Change the "Activity Sharing" to one of the following:
Anyone on Offline - Any Offline member (however, we do not actually do this right now and nobody can search for you or find your stuff) - we plan to release some community features later on that do some aggregating of cool things happening.
Friends + Contacts - Any Offline member that has you as a friend OR has your phone number in their phone.
Friends Only - Any Offline member you've accepted friend invites from can see your stuff
Nobody - No Offline members can see anything you do
Invite people to be Friends in the App
Contact Search: You can allow Offline to search your contacts and connect with anyone that is part of Offline.
Phone Numbers: Got a friend outside your contacts? No sweat. Just pop in their phone number, and boom, you're good to go.
Approve/Deny Friend Request
If you approve your friend request, you're all set for more fun!
If you deny a friend request, no worries, we don't tell anyone and it just disappears on their app. No harm done!
Accidentally invite someone? Go ahead and cancel that request!
Inviting Friends to Offers
Found an Offer that's pure gold? Share the love by inviting your buddies. Your pals can accept the Offer invite and snag the same killer Offer. However, if they aren't in for that Offer, they can decline and choose an Offer on their own. Learn more about Offer Invites here.
