It’s our very own community contract that everyone opts into to help keep the love flowing during thousands of monthly interactions between our members, our partner businesses, and our team. If you have a very long attention span the full Code of Conduct is below. (Note: Code of Conduct must be signed to become a member.)

BACKSTORY

Offline is a new kind of subscription service. We don’t show up in a box on your doorstep and you can’t stream us into your living room—we’re the subscription service that gets you out, about, and exploring your badass city.

We're also a local community made up of members and businesses that interact with each other thousands of times each month.

To keep things running smoothly, every member must opt in to our Code of Conduct to use the service. Want to read the whole backstory? Click here.

I AGREE TO BE RESPECTFUL

To other members. To businesses. To staff. To us. Our community is rooted in face-to-face interaction, so how you show up IRL matters.

Basically: be a good person, think of the Golden Rule, and when in doubt, R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

I AGREE TO SUPPORT OFFLINE PARTNERS

Offline Offers are great excuses to experience local businesses, but they’re not intended to be a free meal ticket. We understand that you won’t (or can't!) ball out every time, but whenever possible, we expect you to spend money with our partners in addition to the Offer amount.

Remember, our partner businesses are real people and integral pieces of the local community. Supporting them is essential to the continued health of Offline.

I AGREE TO SUPPORT PARTNER STAFF

Tipping can be a little confusing when a portion of your bill is already covered, but our expectation is that when you receive good service, you will tip—and tip appropriately—on the *pre-discounted* bill.

Tipping is the lifeblood of the service industry, so let's show our appreciation to the staff that takes care of us.

I AGREE TO GIVE AND RECEIVE FEEDBACK.

WE. LOVE. FEEDBACK. As you use Offline, we’ll ask for your feedback on just about everything. Part of being in Beta mode means we’re constantly tinkering with Offline—your feedback helps us stay on the right track.

At the same time, we ask our partners for feedback on our members. We're big believers in mutual feedback as the best way to keep a service working for everyone (hello Airbnb, Uber, etc!).

Once you’ve signed on the dotted line, we’re going to hold you to this code. Of course, we all slip up once in a while—pobody's nerfect—but if you repeatedly ignore these terms, know that we will kick you out of Offline (don’t worry, we’ll warn you first!)
